    About

I coach because I want to be a positive influence in the lives of my athletes, sharing the mindset and technique needed to unlock their full potential on and off the mat. I am deeply passionate about teaching commitment, as I believe it is the foundation for discipline and grit that sets a person up for success in any avenue of life. My journey began at age five in Highland, Wisconsin, but my true turning point came after my sophomore year when I fell in love with the grind and learned to value the process over results. This shift led to a decorated career as a state champion, a two-time state placer, and a three-time academic all-state honoree. Now competing at Division I for the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I specialize in heavy hand fighting, outside leg attacks, and applied pressure on top. Through this experience, I aim to inspire athletes to relentlessly pursue their futures using wrestling as their primary tool. Outside the room, I stay active in the outdoors through fishing, hunting, and playing pick-up sports.

    Childhood

I started wrestling around the age of five in Highland, Wisconsin. My early exposure to the sport gave me a solid foundation, and I began training with clubs in fifth grade, where I met Coach Cedric Gibson and have been training with him ever since.

    High School

I wrestled for the Iowa-Grant/Highland wrestling co-op in high school, earning 3x all-conference honors and winning multiple team and individual conference, regional, and sectional championships. I was a two-time state placer and state champion, plus a three-time first team academic all-state honoree.

    College

My true turning point came after my sophomore year of high school when I fell in love with the sport and the journey. I learned to trust the process and value consistency over results. I am now competing at Division I for the University of Wisconsin-Madison, continuing to elevate my wrestling at the highest level.

    Coaching Experience

I have coaching experience with the Iowa-Grant/Highland wrestling club at both youth and high school levels, as well as with Sarbacker Wrestling Academy. I bring my passion for wrestling and commitment to excellence to Gorilla Lab, where I aim to inspire the next generation of athletes.
